I enjoy taking an idea from someone’s head and turning it into their one-of-a-kind living memory. My passion lies in woodworking mostly, having built everything from shadow boxes to platform beds.

Hello there. I'm John McKenzie and I started Mac's Red Door Shop because people come to me with all sorts of things they need made. I grew up in central Missouri where I still reside. Growing up, my dad was always working in his shop and I was always right there watching, learning, and making my own mess. I still enjoy working with my dad and he enjoys coming by to see what all I've got going on in my shop. I hope you enjoy it as well.
